Juniper Bonsai Tree

Juniper Bonsai Tree BonsaiThe juniper bonsai tree is another tree that is perfect for the trainee bonsai gardener. It can be raised indoors but prefers to be outdoors on a patio maybe, in full or partial sun. The juniper tree doesn't need special attention as regards soil and ordinary garden soil will be fine for it.
During winter the Juniper will go into dormancy like lots of other plants. If possible take the tree indoors if the temperatures are frequently below freezing. No need to keep it warm though, a cool room or garage with no heat will be just fine. Make sure that it is not in complete darkness during its dormancy, it will die if it is. Also make sure that the soil it is in never dries out completely. As with other types of bonsai tree never, ever over water. In the spring when the weather is starting to get better, reintroduce the tree gradually to the great outdoors again. Best not to shock it by putting it straight into winds rain etc after a few months indoors. If you keep your tree indoors for a lot of the time, try to make sure that in the summer it spends time outdoors in a warm and sunny spot.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a hardy tree, that is fairly easy to look after, with lovely leaves and flowers then the Juniper Bonsai makes a great choice.
